Homie is a private app that Bryce Schuebert built for himself and his partner. It is not offered to the public, and only their two Google accounts can sign in.

What we collect

When an account owner connects a bank through Plaid, the app receives that account's name, type, balances and transactions, and, for credit cards, statement and due-date details. Sign-in through Google shares only your email address. Bank usernames and passwords go to Plaid and never reach this app.

How it's used

Only to show the two account owners their own balances, bills and spending. The data is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Consent

Each owner chooses which accounts to connect, and agrees to it in Plaid Link when connecting. Nothing is connected without that step.

How it's protected

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. The database is encrypted at rest, and Plaid access tokens are encrypted again with AES-256-GCM before they're stored. Access is limited to the two owners, and database rules return data only to them.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while a bank is connected. Disconnecting a bank in Settings revokes the app's access at Plaid and deletes that bank's accounts and transactions. Either owner can ask for all of their data to be deleted at any time.
